Jim specializes in barrier island homes and condominiums from the Sebastian Inlet, south through
Windsor, Orchid, John's Island, Indian River Shores, Vero Beach, south beach, the Moorings area and North Hutchinson Island, a 27-mile coastal paradise between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway (Indian River). Properties range from $120,000. for a condo to $30,000.000.+ for a private ocean-to-river estate. Jim knows the best beaches, good waterfront (ocean, riverfront, Intracoastal), choice residential golf/tennis communities, pet-friendly, and family-friendly communities.
In June 2009, CNNMoney.com reported Vero Beach as "the most undervalued metro area in the nation." (Check the link on my website). Previously, Vero has been reported as "the Best Small Town in Florida." Indian River County and Vero Beach are uniquely located just on the edge of the tropics without the congestion of south Florida. From the oak tree canopied island with miles of unspoiled beaches, endless boating opportunities, low-rise construction, strict zoning controls, abundant cultural resources, walking trails and environmental preserves, Vero Beach is on the map in a good way.
Jim and his wife, Janet, raised two children in Vero Beach from pre-school forward. Both attended Beachland Elementary (public) and the private Saint Edwards School, providing them with a good foundation for success in college and beyond. Both have since graduated from college but call Vero Beach home, having been raised in a unique community.
Jim is a 23 year resident of Vero Beach, marketing homes for buyers and sellers for Alex MacWilliam, Inc. Real Estate the past 12 years. He specializes in providing high quality professional services to buyers and sellers having been involved in real estate and banking for 30 years. He was with Chase Manhattan in NY for 11 years and another 10 years with a local financial institution. Market and transaction knowledge, confidentiality, integrity and the thrill of the hunt for the right property are what drive Jim to help his clients succeed. If the client succeeds, Jim succeeds. Jim is a graduate of St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY (also where his daughter graduated from in 2003). His son is a 2007 graduate of Union College, Schenectady, NY. Janet is a graduate of Syracuse University.
After having experienced the tranquil and idyllic lifestyle as well as the inherent natural beauty of
Vero Beach on a part-time basis since the early 1980s, Bill and his wife became full-time residents in September 2007. Prior to that, Bill's professional career included 35 years of successful sales and sales management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
In addition to that experience, Bill is an experienced certified business coach and extends himself to helping those professionals who are in need of advice and guidance with regard to their business/personal careers. Needless to say, he considers the pharmaceutical and real estate industries comparable in terms of the need for being extremely customer focused, i.e., listening to a customer and identifying their needs and wants and then doing your very best to make it a win-win for all involved. Having said that, his mission as a real estate agent is to provide both a professional and enjoyable experience for his customers, provide unsurpassed customer responsiveness and accessibility, meticulous attention to detail, personal integrity and honesty as well as adherence to timelines and commitments.
On a personal note, Bill and his wife have three children and five grandchildren thoroughly enjoy sharing their small piece of Florida paradise. And, their immediate family also includes their Wheatier Terrier, Shamrock, who never meets a stranger and welcomes each and every visitor to their home with his "Wheatie Greetie."
Bill looks forward to the opportunity to assist you in selling your home and/or buying your perfect home. Please contact him.
Brenda moved to Vero Beach in 2000 with her husband Jim, after driving up the coast from
South Florida one day looking for the perfect place to live. She retired after 26 years as Chief Operating Officer with JAMCO Inc., a Miami based manufacturing business, having gained a great deal of knowledge of people and learning to be very detail oriented. She has two grown children that live in Florida and a funny Maltese named CeeJay. Brenda has traveled various countries such as Costa Rica, Panama and throughout the Caribbean enjoying the different cultures while she and Jim competed in tournament fishing.
She has been a member at the Jungle Club gym for eight years and has established many long lasting friendships at her favorite classes spin and body pump.
Brenda has personally experienced buying and selling several of her own homes and properties on the island in Vero Beach. Her knowledge is a valuable asset to the discerning seller and buyer and now looks forward to the challenge of matching her clients with the home of dreams.
REALTOR, ABR, TRC, GREEN
Patty Valdes makes buying a house as easy as pie. Key lime pie, to be exact.
That's because Patty is not only a top-notch Realtor, who helps buyers find the house of their dreams; she's also a crackerjack baker, whose key lime pies, oatmeal raisin cookies, and other gourmet specialties are acclaimed, throughout Vero Beach.
What clients rave about most however, is her professionalism and open, straightforward style, an approach to the real estate market that infuses clients with confidence. Patty was in the first class given in the United States by the NAR for the Green Sustainable Property Designation.
"Patty's professional attitude and her unwavering display of honesty add to her character. She's our realtor for life." -- Joyce, Grand Harbor
She's honest, caring, and sincere. Patty is one of those exceptional people who can combine a professional manner with a personal touch - along with an extensive knowledge of Vero. She's the best. -- John & Carol, Connecticut
As a Realtor with more than eighteen years in general and developmental real estate in Indian River County, Patty knows the area inside and out. She has the lowdown on private golf and boating communities, after seven years on the real estate staff of Grand Harbor. She's also got her finger on the pulse of the education scene, as a former substitute teacher in one of the city's top public elementary schools and as the parent of two local high school graduates. One of her children graduated from St. Edward's School and the other from Vero Beach High School.
Even more important, Patty believes in this community. Her clients say it best:
"Patty's enthusiasm is intoxicating. She loves Vero and helped us fall in love with it too." -- The Calvers, New York
When she's not wheeling and dealing on behalf of her clients, where can Patty be found?
You might find her fishing on the Blue Cypress Lake or in the Atlantic. A former resident of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Patty cut her teeth fishing for Walleye. Or, you would find her working for Habitat for Humanity, where her background in building business comes in handy. At Habitat, she's helping to raise money for a house sponsored by the Indian River Board of Realtors. Then again, you may find her in the kitchen, whipping up a bonus treat for a client - perhaps just for your.
Finding the right piece of property is the most important mission and by the end of the process, we will hopefully become good friends!
